Personal au pair services operating nationwide

By gathering information about your family beforehand, we'll be able to find the most suitable match from a large selection of applicants.

You'll have a single point of contact throughout the process, who will guide you and offer you any advice you might require regarding paperwork, travel details and so on. As well as practical advice, we're here for reassurance, so please don't hesitate to contact us if you're concerned about any aspect of your au pair placement.

Your au pair will work for five hours per day, five days per week, on weekdays only. During this time they'll help look after your children and carry out light household duties. These duties are outlined below, as set out by the British Association of Au Pair Agencies.

All au pairs are encouraged to attend English classes at the local college. It is appropriate for the family to pay/contribute towards the cost of this.

How can our au pairs help parents?

  • Washing dishes, including loading and unloading dishwasher
  • Preparing simple meals for children
  • Keeping kitchen area tidy and clean, including sweeping and mopping floors

  • Ironing for children

  • Cleaning children's bathroom only

Need additional parental support?

Mother's helps have former experience and/or qualifications from working in childcare. They could be former au pairs or may have recently qualified as nannies. This experience allows them to provide a stimulating, safe and positive learning environment in which the children can develop.

Working hours are upon agreement. General hours are breakfast until bath/bed time. A mother's help would be expected to work for 40 hours per week and be flexible for babysitting 1-2 nights per week, upon agreement.

It is usual for a mother's help to receive two full days off work (not always weekends) and holidays are negotiable although two to four weeks a year is standard.
